Humpty Dumpty
Galphil’s Public Domain stories are sometimes different from other books. Nevertheless here is a brief explanation of what this title is all about:
Outline of Humpty Dumpty
“Humpty Dumpty” is a nursery rhyme about an anthropomorphic egg. Humpty Dumpty sits on a wall, then has a great fall.
No one can put Humpty Dumpty together again after his fall. This includes all the king’s horses and all the king’s men.
Moral Lesson
The rhyme teaches about the consequences of carelessness. Humpty Dumpty’s fall is a result of him not taking precautions while sitting on the wall.
It also emphasizes the fact that some mistakes can’t be undone. Despite efforts, Humpty Dumpty couldn’t be fixed, teaching the permanence of some actions.
Humpty Dumpty: Background and History
“Humpty Dumpty” has origins in 18th century England. It’s traditionally a riddle, with the answer being ‘an egg’.
The rhyme has been referenced in various forms of media, from literature to television. It remains a popular nursery rhyme worldwide.
